Things to look for in a contractor
• Does the contractor shut down when you are building?
• Does your contractor have references you can contact?
• Does the contractor have adequate insurance?
• Are all of his sub-contractors insured? and will he get you copies of insurance certificates?
• Does your contractor give back to the community such as habitat for humanity and other volunteer work?
• Is your contractor a member of any professional organizations?
• Is your contractor the least expensive? if he is substantially less expensive than others, question yourself is he going to be able to finish the job.
